[vexim] Trouble connecting to db

Hello 

So I had the joy of rm -rf /bin the 
other day.

Anyways, I moved to a new hardware and moved the /var/www/vexim2 to a 
new

harddrive. I exported the vexim.sql before the server went down and have
 now

began to restart the vexim database. Everthing looks like it did on the old server now.



In phpmyadmin I have added a new user like the old one, vexim, and I 
have

started a new db and imported the old vexim.sql.  So far so good.



But when I go to the vexim page I get

DB Error: connect failed

And I look in the variables file, and everything there is set up like 
the

way it should be.



And acccording to the mysql logs I get this:



112 Connect	Access denied for user 'www-data'@'localhost' (using 
password:

NO)



What am I doing fundamentaly wrong?
